Revolution Mortgage Expands West and Opens New Branch in Colorado

Revolution Mortgage, an emerging mortgage company based in Columbus, Ohio, has announced a new location opening in Fort Collins, Colorado.

The branch will be led by Stephen Ponce-Pore (NMLS# 636435) and is set to open in November. The office is the first Revolution Mortgage branch in the state of Colorado and is also the farthest branch West to date.

Stephen Ponce-Pore is joining Revolution Mortgage with almost 27 years in the mortgage industry. Previously employed as the VP of Mortgage Lending at Guaranteed Rate, he has worked in various positions from underwriter to branch manager. Ponce-Pore’s passion is front line mortgage loan origination, and he enjoys working with first-time home buyers, investors, and veterans.

I want to open my own branch to bring a new level of personal service to the industry in our area. In modern times of internet lending, service levels are low and little contact is maintained between loan officers and their clients after the initial application. The relationship between a loan officer and the customers should be an ongoing relationship that helps our customers build wealth, stability, and opportunity.

Ponce Pore’s first goals are to hire dedicated local loan officers and processors that share the company’s vision of high-performance lending and to establish relationships with realtors that share these same values. Ponce-Pore will also be assisted by Pennie Patton who has over 21 years in the title and mortgage industry. With extensive experience in loan processing and operational efficiency, she will be been an integral part of launching the Revolution Mortgage brand in Colorado.

Revolution Mortgage’s expansion to Colorado has come at an optimal time. Colorado’s housing market is booming and Denver, located just an hour south of the new branch, currently has one of the most competitive housing markets in America. According to recolorado.com, August and September set records with the most homes sold compared to prior years in the Denver metropolitan area. If the steady demand continues, many experts predict home price gains by the end of 2020 due to low-interest rates, a strong job market, and a stable economy.

While the excess demand partly caused by statewide shutdowns has been largely satisfied, the market remains considerably active most likely from companies going remote. The new work-from-home culture, created by the coronavirus pandemic, has opened limitless possibilities on where people can live, which has led to many fleeing to places like Colorado for the colorful mountain scenery and vast outdoor space. With the option to have Rocky Mountain views and charming town vibes, people are taking advantage of this newfound freedom.

These factors contributed to CEO and Co-founder Tony Grothouse’s decision to expand the company’s brand and vision into the Centennial State.
