Second Revolution Mortgage Branch to Open in North Carolina

Revolution Mortgage, an emerging mortgage company based in Columbus, Ohio, has announced a new location opening in Charlotte, North Carolina. The branch will be led by Chris Day (NMLS# 589379) and is set to open in early December. The office, located twenty minutes south of downtown Charlotte, is the second Revolution Mortgage branch in the state of North Carolina.

Chris Day is joining Revolution Mortgage after 21 years in the mortgage and financial services industry. With a resume that includes Residential Mortgage Services, MVB Bank, SunTrust Bank, and Bank of America he will be bringing extensive knowledge and experience to the growing company.

A New Orleans native, Day opened his first real estate and mortgage company in 2005, the same year Hurricane Katrina ravaged the area, and quickly became a part of the rebuilding process helping families and businesses start over. Now he will be taking on a new city and opening a branch in not only the most populated city in the state of North Carolina, but one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the United States.

SmartAsset recently ranked Charlotte among the top 10 cities that Millennials are moving to; but the fact is, the quality of life in Charlotte makes it the perfect place to live, work, and play for most every age group. The city is home to several Fortune 500 companies, is the second-largest financial center in the U.S., home to popular pro sports teams, and has one of the best year-round climates in the country. According to Forbes, Charlotte also ranks as the seventh-best place for business and careers and last year ranked #5 as one of the best cities for jobs. Between the diverse economy and quality of life in Charlotte, it’s clear why so many people are flocking to this thriving city.

Economic expansion in Charlotte is fueling the housing demand and home sales in Charlotte leaped more than 8% in September, one of the largest spikes in house sales in more than 2 ½ years. Home values in Charlotte have also increased 6.5% over the past year and are forecasted to grow by another 4.1% in the next 12 months, reported roofstock.com. These factors all contributed to CEO and Co-founder Tony Grothouse’s decision to open a second Revolution Mortgage branch in North Carolina.
